Direct answer: Low back pain in hip thrust or stiff calls for interruption of execution that provokes the symptom and evaluation of context. A video can help to review the movement, but does not identify the cause of pain. Intense symptoms, persistent or associated with other signs need assistance.
Report start and progress
Tell us if the pain occurred during a repetition, after training or also in daily activities. Describe if it spreads to one leg and if there is numbness or weakness. The load and recent change of exercises are part of the report, without proving the cause alone.
Review with defined limits
After receiving appropriate guidance, the coach can adjust assembly, exercise or requirement. Do not force the amplitude to test if the pain disappears. Return must respect symptoms and restrictions, with communication between professionals when necessary.
Recognizing urgent signs
Changes in bladder or bowel control, loss of sensation around the genitals, and significant weakness or numbness in both legs require emergency medical care. Pain after a major injury or with substantial illness also needs prompt assessment. Do not continue training to finish the programme.
What to record and discuss
- Stop the exercise that reproduces the pain.
- Report irradiation and other symptoms.
- Follow the orientation received for return and adaptations.
